Treatments Offered
At ZenShin, our hands on approach will target areas lacking flexibility or strength. Regardless of the area of pain, a full body approach is taken to get to the root cause of the issue and get rid of it for good!
Functional Mobilization
Techniques that break bad posture or mobility deficits quickly in joints that are not moving as they should
Trigger Point Release
Deep pressure on muscles or other tight tissues which can relieve pain and improve mobility
Joint mobilizations
Joint focused techniques to improve the glide of the joints as well as provide capsular stretch to open up mobility when the joint rather than the muscle maybe the factor limiting movement
Cupping with movement
Cupping is done along long larger lines of tension throughout the fascia to improve mobility and posture deficits related to chronic pain
Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF)
Hands on resistance applied when new ranges of motion are gained or to train movement patterns. Great for breaking bad movement and posture habits and restoring movement pathways that heal chronic pain.
Active Release
A massage technique that applies pressure to a tight area while the patient moves in and out of resistance.
Soft Tissue Mobilization
A massage technique that works on large areas of muscles to reduce tone and tension that may be leading to movement or posture deficits.
Corrective movements and Stability exercise
In addition to the hands on techniques, each patient will be instructed in mobility and/or stability exercise to correct bad movement or posture habits found in the examination. The exercises complement the hands on techniques to allow improvement in between treatment sessions.
